Bio:

The 2024 season will mark over 40 years of Brian Cluff’s involvement with the Gryphon Football Program, (30+ years as a coach and 5 years as a player). Brian also coached Team Ontario at the Canada Cup, as well as Team Ontario Selects in the International Bowl in Texas. In 2011 Coach Cluff was the recipient of the OUA and USPORTS Gino Fracas Award as the “Assistant Coach of the Year”. In addition, Coach Cluff was also recognized for his commitment and excellence to Athletics and Coaching by the University of Guelph and was awarded the “Dr John T Powell” Award. Coach Cluff has the distinction of having been apart of all four of the Gryphon Football Yates Cup Championship Teams (1984 as a player, 1992, 1996, 2015 as a coach).

As a Gryphon Football player, Coach Cluff was a 5 year starter, winning the Vanier Cup National Championship in 1984. Brian still holds the Gryphon Football Record as a player for ”career starts” at 50 games.
